As Tammy looked out the bars of his jail cell he began to think about the actions that got him there. He had his whole life ahead of him, now he is stuck in this small, contained cell the rest of his existence. His two kids, Bobby and Jane will forever know their father to be a criminal, not some one they can be proud of. Lily, his poor wife, now a single mother will now have to provide for their children alone. But, alas, it was all a big misunderstanding, he shouldn't be here.
It all started when Tammy was at the art studio outside of town, where he spent most of his time. It calmed him, just him and his art supplies to do what he pleased. Then he had to get ready to clean up, for he had a job to support his family, a boring accountant. Sure, it payed well but he always wanted to pursue his love of art. Sadly though, his mother crushed his dreams of that saying he would never amount to anything and he should get a job that would support his family.
Suddenly, outside of the small studio, he heard a blood curdling cry from what sounded like to be a young woman. As he ran outside as fast as he could, just in time to see a strong looking man run away from the scene. The woman lay there, bleeding out, Tammy panicked and just stood there in shock for a moment. Because of the awkward placement of his studio, he had no cell phone service to call for help, so the only thing he could do was bring the woman inside and run for help. As fast as humanly possible Tammy ran for help, screaming in case someone might hear him. Luckily, he had done cross country in high school so he could run for a while and also quickly.
Meanwhile ,back at the studio, Kylie lay there wondering if she will ever see her family again. All she felt was pain and could see the pool of blood around her. What if the man wasn't back in time with help to save her? She wasn't mobile but she had to find help, it hurt too much to move, so her only hope was to scream. It felt like she lay there for hours, her throat hurt and she could not shout anymore. But, a miracle came barreling through to door, someone had come to save her.
Covered with blood, Tammy finally reached town. Someone saw him, and called the cops. Tammy finally collapsed when the cops got to him and fell unconscious. When he finally woke up, he was in the hospital handcuffed to the bed, but why? Was the woman okay? He sure hoped so. Soon, police filled his room and started asking him a bunch of ludicrous questions. Questions they would ask a killer, but he was not one. They seemed to think he was one.
Kylie did not make it to the hospital. The cops seemed to think Tammy left her for dead at his studio. The whole thing seemed ridiculous to him, but the judge did not seem to think so. So unfortunately he was jailed for murder. The real killer was put in jail a few years later for drug dealings, though not even close to the amount of time poor Tammy had to serve.
Tammy lay his head down on his bed in the cell, he wondered if the truth would ever be revealed. He tried to think of anything he could have done to save innocent Kylie. What happened that day, who was that girl, and why was she murdered? The whole town thought him to be a cold blooded killer, when in fact he was just trying to save the life of the young girl.
